Hello, fellow readers!
I have decided that I need to spice up my blog with some fun entries, as well as more book reviews (and discussions about my own writing, but I am not quite confident enough for that yet!). So, what is more fun than Book Tags!? I love watching the Book Tag videos on Youtube, but I never really knew if I could translate them well enough for my blog. I say, it’s time I tried. So, I found a really neat tag when I searched for Book Tags on WordPress. I saw the post on Rattle the Stars first, and the creator of the tag is Le Book Chronicles, so thank you both for the inspiration. I was not tagged, but I thought it was a great idea and could showcase some beautiful book covers.
Here goes!
Rules for the Rainbow Book Tag:
1. Must be the dominant color of the COVER not the spine
2. If you do not own a book of a certain color, just choose one that has the color on it somewhere.
3. It has to be a book you own and/or has to be the exact edition you read (e.g. there are two different overs for Me Before You, you would choose the one you read.
4. TAG some people to do it! Whether they be Bloggers, Bookstagrammers or BookTubers 🙂
So, here are my rainbow-inspired book covers! I chose from books I have read and own. Reviews for all will come eventually! 🙂
Red:

This is one of my favorite books everrrr and such a brilliant representation of Russian culture. Red is SO Russian!
Orange:

While not my favorite Harry Potter book, this one is a pretty orange color. And who doesn’t love dramatic Harry poses?
Yellow:

I had like no yellow options! But I settled on Uprooted, which is a such a fun, interesting book.
Green:

Yay!! I love this book. I think it might be my favorite Throne of Glass book.
Blue:

Sooo, this one is supposed to be blue. I do realize there is a glare in the photo, but it’s blue dammit!!
Purple:

And this one is way more purple in real life. Trust me. Also, if you are looking for a really creepy read, this is a must!
Pink:

This series is so good!! Kestrel’s lovely pink dress was the obvious choice here.
White:

I actually had way more white options than I thought I would. I settled on a Chuck book, because I do not see a lot of these around and this book is a wonderful satire.
Brown:

My color-blindness made brown a really difficult color to find, but I think this is a great choice! Also, a relatively unknown novel.
Black:

And finally, some representation for my Beat brothers. This was a great, intriguing book of poetry.
Sorry for the glare on some of my pictures! And if any of these colors have you scratching your head, let me just say that I am colorblind, but I tried my best! Why I chose a color-based tag as my first one, I do not know.
Please feel free to do this Book Tag, if you have not already; I know I am late to the party!! I am new to the book blog world, so I am not sure who to tag, but you can all consider yourselves tagged (if you want to)! Thanks for reading!
